ST ANDREW'S

The village is best known for its role in the 1549 Prayer Book Rebellion, and the church and adjacent church rooms played a crucial part. There is a permanent exhibition in the church telling the story of this interesting and bloody period of history.

The church is kept unlocked during daylight hours. It is a fine medieval building with many unique features including two three-hares roof bosses.

The church is situated in the heart of the village (post code: EX20 2ST) just off the A3072 three miles west of North Tawton.
